Between November 15th and 18th, the Biocastanea 2018 technical-scientific conferences were held in Ponferrada, at the Campus de El Bierzo of the Universidad de León, within the Feira de la Castañicultura in El Bierzo. This event was aimed at students, plantation owners, producers, technicians and commercial agents related to chestnut and all its derivatives. Its objective was to convey the advances and state of the art of research and production around the chestnut.

During these days an exhibition was installed on the LIFE Lugo + Biodinámico project, to make it known and focus on the recovery of native species, specifically on the plantation and first productions of the chestnut plantation.
