Today, Tuesday 29th May, the LIFE Lugo+Biodynamic project completed the event associated with the EU Green Week, with the celebration of a day at the Lucus Augusti Secondary School in Lugo, with students from the 4th year of secondary school and the 1st year of secondary school. This event was composed of two celebrations, one in Madrid on 21 May, given by the Polytechnic University of Madrid and the other in Lugo by the City Council of Lugo and the University of Santiago de Compostela, in addition to the support of the County Council of Lugo.

In Lugo, the more than 100 students of the institute received a presentation about the role of the LIFE Lugo+Biodynamic project in the battle against Climate Change, how different coordinated actions are intended to influence an environmental improvement of the city of Lugo that makes it more resilient to the effects of Climate Change. From the restoration of a wetland, forest plantations, the creation of an Arboretum, wood construction, the promotion of a circular economy and the active participation of all citizens in the environmental improvement of our environment. This event coincided with the celebration of the 175th anniversary of IES Lucus Augusti, one of the oldest secondary schools in Spain, and the first in Galicia.
